Sexual Violence at UK Music Festivals End of Project Event

You are invited to a one-day end of project event for the CRiVA Sexual Violence at UK Music Festivals study (funded by the British Academy) taking place on Tuesday 21st September 2021 between 9.30am-3.30pm.

Due to the ongoing challenges presented by the Covid-19 pandemic, the event will take place entirely online. A Microsoft Teams link will be sent out to all attendees beforehand.

Speakers include:

• Dr Hannah Bows (Durham University), Principal Investigator for the Sexual Violence at UK Music Festivals project, will share the findings from the study which examined incidence, nature, impacts and responses to sexual violence at festivals.
• Dr Bianca Fileborn (University of Melbourne) and Dr Phillip Wadds (University of New South Wales) will share the findings from their Australian study examining sexual violence and harassment at music festivals.
• Tracey Wise (Founder & Operations Manager, Safe Gigs for Women) will discuss their work at, and with, music festivals to prevent and respond to sexual violence.

There will be opportunities to ask questions and discuss policy and practice implications with the speakers and other delegates, which include festival (and wider industry) managers/promoters, criminal justice and welfare agencies.
